A private family archive
Preserving handwritten stories,
privately.
Mom’s Journals brings photographs of handwritten journals, careful transcriptions and family context together in a private digital archive.
This website explains the project and its data practices.
It does not provide access to journals or the private application.
How it works
From a photograph
to a lasting record.
Photograph & upload
Authorized family contributors upload original photographs to their assigned folders inside the project’s Google Drive folder.
Preserve & transcribe
The private application imports originals when the administrator’s computer is available. Google’s Gemini API helps produce transcription drafts.
Keep the history
Original images, draft versions, optional human corrections and related context remain linked in the private archive. An AI draft is never automatically marked human-verified.
Family records stay out of this website.
There are no journal photographs, transcriptions, account sign-ins or upload forms here. The family archive and its administration tools are separate from this public information site.
